Do you think you will go to Heaven when you die?
God is the Creator of this world and we will all stand before Him someday to give an account of our lives.
You might think, "I am a good person! Of course I will be let into Heaven." Let us see how the Bible defines good…
God's moral standard is summarized in The Ten Commandments. Let's take a look at several of these commandments to see if you meet His standards of good.
Have you ever lied? That would make you a liar. Have you ever stolen? Value is irreverent as God's Word says all thieves have their place in the Lake of Fire. If you have ever stolen, that would make you a thief. Have you ever taken God's name in vain? That is, used it a curse word to express disgust? That is called blasphemy and is so serious it was punishable by death in the Old Testament.
Let's look at just one more. Have you ever looked at someone with lust? Jesus called this adultery of the heart.
We have only looked at four of The Ten Commandments and no doubt you are a lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer-at-heart just like every other human being.
If God gives you justice on Judgment Day and He will, you will spend eternity in the horrors of Hell for your sins.

However, there is good news!
God sent His Son Jesus to this earth to live the perfect life you and I could not live. He was then crucified on the cross. Most people know this, but they don't understand the legal aspect of Jesus' death on the cross.
If a person is in court with a stack of speeding fines, if someone else pays the fines, the judge can legally let them go while still being a just judge. That is what Jesus did for us. God can now be perfectly just in forgiving sinners because Jesus paid the fine.
Now, all who acknowledge they are a sinner, repent of their sins, that is, turn from them, and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ and His finished work for salvation will be saved!
Don't put this off! Death could seize upon you today or tonight! None of us is guaranteed tomorrow!
