PROTECT LIFE FROM CONCEPTION
David has promised to join Representative Nisly and Representative Jacob at the Statehouse in their fight to end abortion.
He will not regulate abortion, like so many politicians are doing, but rather, fight to end it once and for all in our state by seeking to pass the Protection of Life bill.
He is also involved with Hoosiers for Life, the statewide group responsible for the Protection of Life bill.
CARBAUGH'S VOTE ON SB 325 AMENDMENT 12
Carbaugh voted in favor of killing the pro-life amendment to this bill.
In voting "yes," Carbaugh supported House Leadership in killing an amendment which required the Indiana State Department of Health to revoke an entity's license, if that entity knowingly and intentionally participated in ending the life of an innocent human being.
Indiana code already states that human life begins at conception (IC 16-34-2-1.1). SB325 Amendment 12 attempted to reinforce this definition, yet Carbaugh was an accomplice in killing the amendment.
Over 8,000 babies will die this year in Indiana because of abortion.
Why doesn't Carbaugh seem to care about the urgency of this matter?
David believes a baby's life begins at conception.
If a baby is born prematurely, he or she deserves medical care, just like any other human being.
David himself was born as a premie baby, so this is a personal issue. To think that David might have been denied medical care because "he was born a few weeks too early" is horrifying.
Yet, this is the terrible pain many Hoosier families have experienced. As our corrupt medical system has allowed their premature babies to die without potential lifesaving care.
CARBAUGH'S VOTE ON SB 204 AMENDMENT 1
Carbaugh voted again in favor of killing a pro-life amendment to a bill.
In voting "yes," Carbaugh voted to kill an amendment that would have protected premature babies.
Indiana already extends legal protections to babies who survive abortions. This amendment would have extended these legal protections to all premature babies, not just those who survive abortions.
Due to outrage among Hoosier voters, House Leadership brought the amendment back to another bill, which Carbaugh voted in favor for on the second time around.
If Carbaugh is so pro-life, why did he kill the pro-life amendment the first time, thus refusing medical care to premature babies?
David strongly believes that no person should be forced, coerced or penalized into receiving a vaccine.
Individual citizens are responsible for their own health and health decisions.
CARBAUGH'S VOTE ON SB 325 AMENDMENT 15
Carbaugh voted against this amendment which would have protected Hoosier's medical liberty against bureaucratic leadership.
House Leadership, with Carbaugh's help, killed this amendment that would have prohibited hospitals, physicians' offices, businesses, health officials, or any state or local government agency from coercing an individual to release information about their vaccination status, proof of immunity, or results of a medical test on order to participate or gather.
Sounds like Carbaugh is okay with vaccine passports, doesn't it?
OPPOSE VACCINE DISCRIMINATION
In line with his belief on vaccine choice, David firmly believes that no individual should be excluded from society because of their choice to say "no" to an experimental "vaccine" that has caused medical complications and even death to countless individuals.
CARBAUGH'S VOTE ON SB1 AMENDMENT 4
Carbaugh voted against this amendment which would have supported medical liberty by ensuring that employers who discriminated against employees declining a mandatory COVID vaccination were not eligible for general COVID immunity provided by SB1.
If you don't get the jab for medical or health reasons or moral convictions, Carbaugh is fine with your employer discriminating against you.
SUPPORT RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
David believes God is the head of the Church, not some government leader or entity.
Therefore, government has no right to prohibit the free exercise of religious liberty that is in line with the biblical foundations of God's Word.
CARBAUGH'S VOTE ON HB 1123 AMENDMENT 3
Carbaugh voted against this amendment which supported protecting the right to worship even during a state of emergency by prohibiting the governor from setting limitations on church operation by executive order.
If the governor says you can't go to church, apparently Carbaugh is okay with that too.
SUPPORT CONSTITUTIONAL CARRY
David believes that the right to protect one's self, one's family and innocent individuals is a God-given right.
As Zephaniah Swift, the author of the first legal treatise published in America wrote, “Self-defense or self-preservation is one of the first laws of nature…which no man ever resigned upon entering into society.”
CARBAUGH'S VOTE ON HB 1369 AMENDMENT 5
Carbaugh voted against this amendment which supported true Constitutional Carry by removing language in the Constitutional Carry bill that gun rights experts warned could lead to the creation of a super database that would contain information about prohibited persons from NICS and IDACS. Records are notoriously incomplete, inaccurate, and often times will get responses of person's with similar names. Interjecting this unreliable information into a police stop might lead to identify an armed law abiding gun owner as a felon and would create challenging situations.
Carbaugh did vote for Constitutional Carry this year, but why did he refuse to vote for it last year?
Interesting how Carbaugh changed his position on self-defense in an election year, isn't it?
David believes parents, not the state, are the proper guardians of their children and tasked with the responsibility to raise them.
To this end, David has been involved with pressuring a local school board in his district to unmask our kids, permit vaccine choice, remove CRT and SEL from the classroom and restore patriotic, biblical values to the school curriculum, while giving parents back their rights that the school system has unjustly torn away from them.
CARBAUGH'S VOTE ON - HB 1531
Carbaugh voted yes on allowing the State Department of Child Services (DCS) to interview a child at an Indiana school without parental consent.
Carbaugh voted for a government agent to take your child behind closed doors for a private "interview" without your knowledge or consent.
VISIT A DYING FAMILY MEMBER
A close friend of David's was not permitted to be at his dying wife's bedside. Why? Because of the tyranny government has brought upon us through the weak excuse of COVID.
David firmly believes the government has no right keeping loved ones apart from one another.
Our hospitals have become like prisons, visitation is at the whim of bureaucracy.
This injustice must end!
CARBAUGH'S VOTE ON HB 1123 AMENDMENT 5
Carbaugh voted against this amendment which would have prohibited the state, a political subdivision, or an officer or employee of the state or a political subdivision from restricting the right of an individual to visit another individual in hospice during an emergency.
Carbaugh was instrumental in husbands and wives being forced to say their final goodbyes through a computer screen these past two years.
VISIT GRANDMA AT NURSING HOME
David once again, firmly believes family members should never be forced apart due to the bureaucratic cruelty of government officials, especially during times the government claims are "emergencies."
CARBAUGH'S VOTE ON HB 1123 AMENDMENT 6
Carbaugh voted against this amendment which would have prohibited the state, a political subdivision, or an officer or employee of the state or a political subdivision restricting the right of an individual to visit another individual in a nursing home during an emergency.
Carbaugh voted for Grandma to die alone, if the governor or other politicians see fit to allow this to happen.
RIGHT TO OPERATE BUSINESS
David believes your right to work is a God-given right.
The government has no business tearing your livelihood away from you in the name of "safety" or arbitrarily deciding your business is not "essential."
CARBAUGH'S VOTE ON HB 1123 AMENDMENT 8
Carbaugh voted against this amendment which would have prohibited the state, a political subdivision, or an officer or employee of the state or a political subdivision restricting the right of any business to conduct business as usual during an emergency.
Carbaugh still gets his political paycheck during an emergency, but you?
Well, Carbaugh said with his vote, "too bad."
RIGHT TO GATHER AS FAMILIES
David believes a people who have to check government regulations to see how many of their friends and family can come over for a barbecue are living in a Communistic regime.
The right to gather with loved ones and friends should not be taken away by the whims of bureaucratic government officials.
CARBAUGH'S VOTE ON HB 1123 AMENDMENT 9
Carbaugh voted against this amendment which would have prohibited the state, a political subdivision, or an officer or employee of the state or a political subdivision imposing any mandates or restrictions on any individual or any family during an emergency.
Carbaugh is okay with the government deciding how many people, if any, you get to have over for your Fourth of July celebration.
WITH CARBAUGH'S VOTING RECORD, YOU'D THINK HE IS RUNNING FOR DEMOCRAT HOUSE REP IN CALIFORNIA!
DAVID MERVAR IS THE TRUE REPUBLICAN FOR THE HOOSIER STATE!
VOTE MERVAR MAY 3RD TO RESTORE TRUE CONSERVATIVE LEADERSHIP TO INDIANA!
